Bang Bang Chicken Bowl is an irresistibly delicious dish featuring crispy chicken tossed in a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce, served over fluffy rice and fresh veggies for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5โ6 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the bang bang sauce.
- Toss fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve chicken over cooked rice and top with shredded lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots.
Notes
- Adjust sriracha for desired spice level.
- Can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for a different protein.
