Description
Black Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a bold black pepper sauce, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into thin strips
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp freshly cracked black pepper (adjust to taste)
- For the sauce: 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar), 1 tbsp water
- Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss chicken strips with cornstarch, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Set aside for 5 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Stir-fry 2โ3 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.
- Return chicken to the skillet and add freshly cracked black pepper.
- Mix in the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, water). Stir well and cook 1โ2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
