Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
- 1/2 cup milk or beef broth
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk (or broth), paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well combined.
- Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20โ25 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.
