Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or your favorite herb)
- 8 oz egg noodles (or your preferred pasta)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6โ7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter with 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add cooked noodles, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in butter and garlic.
- Serve the buttered noodles topped with the cooked chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute egg noodles with fettuccine or any pasta you prefer.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
