Ingredients
- Roll-Ups:
10 slices white sandwich bread
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon - French Toast Coating:
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract - Cooking:
2-3 tablespoons butter for frying
Instructions
- Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
- Mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon, then brush melted butter on bread and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over each slice.
- Roll up each slice tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating all sides, then place in skillet.
- Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with syrup.
