Ingredients
Brownies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Coffee Frosting
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate Topping
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix melted butter, cocoa powder, sugar, espresso powder, eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking powder until smooth. Fold in flour.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 20โ25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- For the frosting: dissolve instant coffee in cream. Beat together with butter, salt, and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
- For chocolate topping: melt chocolate with cream over low heat or in a microwave until smooth. Pour over frosted brownies and spread evenly.
