Description
Cowboy Butter Chicken Bites are juicy, flavorful chicken pieces cooked in a buttery, garlicky sauce with a hint of spice. Perfect for weeknight dinners or game-day appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2 minutes to let flavors combine. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving.
Notes
- Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to make it spicier or milder.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for 2–3 days.
