Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Add broccoli during the last 2 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sautรฉ until fragrant.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, and reserved pasta water.
- Add pasta, broccoli, and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with parsley and chives. Serve warm.

- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired heat.
- Chicken thighs work well as a substitute.
- Add spinach or asparagus for extra veggies.
