Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups beef broth (low sodium)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Stir in uncooked rice, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in milk, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
