Description

Crafting Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches is perfect for a comforting, trailside-inspired feast. Tender beef chuck roast slow-cooked in a flavorful broth is served on hoagie rolls with optional provolone cheese and parsley for garnish.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the roast to a crockpot. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4โ€“5 hours until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks and return to the crockpot to soak in the juices.
  6. Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the hoagie rolls before serving.
  • Leftover shredded beef makes excellent tacos or wraps.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste; add a splash of au jus for dipping if desired.
