Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the roast to a crockpot. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4โ5 hours until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
- Shred the beef with two forks and return to the crockpot to soak in the juices.
- Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast the hoagie rolls before serving.
- Leftover shredded beef makes excellent tacos or wraps.
