This Creamy Chicken Casserole is an easy, comforting dish that combines shredded chicken, creamy soups, and a buttery stuffing topping. Perfect for family dinners or meal prep!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (or substitute with another cream soup)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 (6-ounce) box of stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup frozen peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine stuffing mix, melted butter, and chicken broth. Sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
