Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (or substitute with another cream soup)
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 (6-ounce) box of stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- ½ cup frozen peas (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine stuffing mix, melted butter, and chicken broth. Sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
- Optionally, sprinkle cheddar cheese and frozen peas on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until heated through and golden on top. Serve warm.
