Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked & diced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 8 ounces orzo pasta
  • 2 celery stalks, finely diced
  • 2 carrots, finely diced
  • ยฝ yellow onion, finely diced
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ยฝ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • โ…“ cup all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sautรฉ onions, celery, and carrots until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add diced chicken, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook for 2โ€“3 minutes until heated through.
  3. Stir in flour and remaining butter to create a roux. Cook for 1โ€“2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring continuously until sauce thickens.
