Description

Creamy Dijon Rosemary Chicken features tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich, creamy Dijon mustard sauce infused with fresh rosemary and garlic, perfect for an elegant yet easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then lightly dredge in flour.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add garlic and rosemary to the skillet, sauté 1 minute.
  4. Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up browned bits.
  5. Stir in Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer 5–7 minutes until cooked through (165°F / 74°C) and sauce is creamy.
  7. Serve immediately with the sauce spooned over the chicken.

Notes

  • Can serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2–3 days and reheated gently.
  • Fresh rosemary gives the best flavor; dried can be substituted (1 tsp).
