Creamy Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet is a delicious, one-pan meal featuring tender chicken cooked in a creamy sauce with pepperoncini peppers, roasted red peppers, and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken (breasts or thighs)
- 2 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
- 1/2 cup roasted red pepper
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sautรฉ garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.
- Add pepperoncini peppers, roasted red peppers, and chicken stock. Simmer for 2โ3 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, creating a creamy sauce.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Simmer 2โ3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
