Description

Crispy Chicken Taquitos are golden, crunchy, and filled with a creamy, cheesy chicken mixture. Perfect for appetizers, snacks, or easy weeknight dinners, these taquitos are simple to make and sure to please the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great!)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ยฝ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • ยผ cup salsa (your favorite)
  • ยฝ tsp garlic powder
  • ยฝ tsp chili powder
  • ยฝ tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Cooking spray or neutral oil for brushing
  • Optional toppings: fresh cilantro, sour cream, avocado, extra cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Place 2โ€“3 tablespoons of the mixture on each tortilla and roll tightly. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
  4. Place taquitos seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush with oil or spray with cooking spray.
  5. Bake 15โ€“20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve with optional toppings like cilantro, sour cream, avocado, or extra cheese.
