Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) noodles (spaghetti, udon, or rice noodles)
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, minced
- ยผ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- ยผ cup brown sugar
- ยฝ cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- ยฝ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ยฝ cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add garlic and ginger. Cook for 30โ60 seconds until fragrant.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and hoisin sauce.
- Pour sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch mixture and cook until sauce thickens.
- Add cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in red pepper flakes if using.
- Top with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
