Description
These French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a fun twist on the classic French Dip Sandwich. Tender roast beef and melty cheese are wrapped in a tortilla and served with flavorful au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef (deli style or leftover)
- 1ยฝ cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (for au jus)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for au jus)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Spread shredded cheese and roast beef evenly over each tortilla, leaving edges clear. Roll up tightly.
- Place roll ups seam-side down in a greased baking dish. Brush tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and tortillas are lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm to create the au jus.
- Serve the tortilla roll ups hot with au jus for dipping.
Notes
- Use leftover roast beef to save time and enhance flavor.
- Provolone cheese works well for melty, mild flavor, but mozzarella can be used.
- Optional: sprinkle a little extra parsley on top before serving for garnish.
