Description

These French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a fun twist on the classic French Dip Sandwich. Tender roast beef and melty cheese are wrapped in a tortilla and served with flavorful au jus for dipping.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef (deli style or leftover)
  • 1ยฝ cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (for au jus)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for au jus)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Spread shredded cheese and roast beef evenly over each tortilla, leaving edges clear. Roll up tightly.
  3. Place roll ups seam-side down in a greased baking dish. Brush tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and tortillas are lightly golden.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm to create the au jus.
  6. Serve the tortilla roll ups hot with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Use leftover roast beef to save time and enhance flavor.
  • Provolone cheese works well for melty, mild flavor, but mozzarella can be used.
  • Optional: sprinkle a little extra parsley on top before serving for garnish.
