Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked or Italian sausage, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1ยฝ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5โ€“6 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning to sausage. Sautรฉ for 1โ€“2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a separate pan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to the cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  6. Toss cooked pasta with the cream sauce and then add the sausage mixture. Mix until evenly coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
