Ingredients
- 1 pound smoked or Italian sausage, sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1ยฝ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5โ6 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning to sausage. Sautรฉ for 1โ2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a separate pan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to the cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Toss cooked pasta with the cream sauce and then add the sausage mixture. Mix until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
