Description

Garlic Parmesan Focaccia is a soft, airy, and flavorful homemade bread topped with olive oil, garlic, herbs, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect as a side dish, sandwich bread, or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs or dried rosemary
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 45–60 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Transfer dough to an oiled baking pan and stretch to fit.
  7. Press dimples into the surface with your fingers.
  8. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle garlic, herbs, Parmesan, and flaky salt.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the dough rise overnight in the fridge.
  • Add mozzarella for a cheesier version.
  • Best served warm.
