Description
This Ground Beef and Brussels Sprouts stir-fry is a quick, flavorful, and healthy weeknight dinner. Tender ground beef is cooked with shredded Brussels sprouts, green onions, and a savory-sweet sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and a splash of lime.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 pound shredded brussels sprouts
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 of a lime, juiced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add shredded Brussels sprouts and cook for 4โ5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add green onions, soy sauce, and sriracha (if using). Stir to combine.
- Return ground beef to the skillet, add sweet chili sauce, and mix well.
- Remove from heat and drizzle lime juice over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust sriracha to your preferred spice level.
- Serve over steamed rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
- Can be prepared ahead and reheated for quick lunches.
