Ingredients

  • For the Pasta:
  • 8 oz dry macaroni (whole wheat or chickpea pasta optional)
  • For the Filling:
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped white onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 cups bell peppers (red, green, yellow mix)
  • For the Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 oz light cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 4 slices light cheese slices
  • For Seasoning:
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add chopped onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sautรฉ for 4โ€“5 minutes until softened.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
