Description

This High-Protein Honey Garlic Butter Chicken with Mac & Cheese is a deliciously creamy, cheesy, and protein-packed meal. Juicy chicken cubes are coated in a sweet honey garlic butter sauce and served with rich mac & cheese.


Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil or oil of choice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for mac & cheese)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (for mac & cheese)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 12 oz elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (for mac & cheese)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder (for mac & cheese)
  • 2 teaspoons salt (for mac & cheese)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (for mac & cheese)


Instructions

  1. Marinate the cubed chicken with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked.
  3. Add butter and honey to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
  4. For mac & cheese: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
  5. Add heavy cream, mozzarella, cheddar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  6. Toss the cooked macaroni in the cheese sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve chicken over the mac & cheese and enjoy!
