Description
This High-Protein Honey Garlic Butter Chicken with Mac & Cheese is a deliciously creamy, cheesy, and protein-packed meal. Juicy chicken cubes are coated in a sweet honey garlic butter sauce and served with rich mac & cheese.
Ingredients
- 3 chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons avocado oil or oil of choice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons butter (for mac & cheese)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (for mac & cheese)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated mozzarella
- 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
- 12 oz elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (for mac & cheese)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder (for mac & cheese)
- 2 teaspoons salt (for mac & cheese)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (for mac & cheese)
Instructions
- Marinate the cubed chicken with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked.
- Add butter and honey to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
- For mac & cheese: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream, mozzarella, cheddar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and smooth.
- Toss the cooked macaroni in the cheese sauce until well coated.
- Serve chicken over the mac & cheese and enjoy!
