Description
This classic Campbell’s Green Bean Casserole is creamy, flavorful, and topped with crispy fried onions. Perfect for holiday dinners or a comforting side dish any time of year.
Ingredients
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 4 cups cut green beans (from 2 cans, 1 lb fresh, or one 16 oz frozen package)
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- For the topping: 1 1/3 cups crispy french fried onions, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and green beans.
- Transfer mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Stir, then top with 2/3 of the crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Sprinkle remaining fried onions on top before serving.

- Use fresh or frozen green beans for best texture.
- Make ahead by preparing the mixture in advance and adding fried onions just before baking.
