Description

This Irresistible Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake is rich, gooey, and ready in just 1 hour! Moist chocolate cake is infused with a creamy peanut butter sauce, topped with whipped cream and crushed peanut butter cups for the ultimate indulgent dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients required by the box)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (Skippy or Jif)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, full-fat
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanut butter cups (about 8 mini cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box and bake as directed.
  2. While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk until smooth.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Before serving, spread whipped cream over the top and sprinkle with crushed peanut butter cups.

Notes

  • Use full-fat sweetened condensed milk for the best creamy texture.
  • Freeze peanut butter cups for 10 minutes before crushing to reduce mess.
  • Can be served chilled or at room temperature.
