Irresistibly Easy Cowboy Butter Chicken Linguine is a creamy, flavorful pasta dish ready in just 30 minutes. Juicy chicken, linguine, and a buttery garlic sauce with Dijon mustard and paprika make it a weeknight favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ยผ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ยผ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ยฝ cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions; reserve ยฝ cup pasta water if desired. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6โ€“8 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sautรฉ garlic until fragrant.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, paprika, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth (or reserved pasta water).
  5. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese; stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss with sauce. Add cooked linguine and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
