These Low Calorie Frozen Banana Snickers are a guilt-free treat. Sweet bananas are paired with peanut butter, dark chocolate, and crunchy peanuts to recreate the classic Snickers flavor in a frozen, healthier version.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (or sugar-free chocolate chips)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, helps with smooth chocolate coating)
- 1/4 cup unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on your sweetness preference)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and slice bananas into bite-sized pieces. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
- In a small bowl, mix peanut butter with honey/maple syrup if using.
- Spread or dip frozen banana slices in peanut butter mixture.
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil over a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- Dip or drizzle peanut butter-covered bananas in melted chocolate, then sprinkle with chopped peanuts and a pinch of sea salt.
- Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.
- Serve frozen for a refreshing snack.
