Description

These Low Calorie Frozen Banana Snickers are a guilt-free treat. Sweet bananas are paired with peanut butter, dark chocolate, and crunchy peanuts to recreate the classic Snickers flavor in a frozen, healthier version.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (or sugar-free chocolate chips)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, helps with smooth chocolate coating)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on your sweetness preference)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice bananas into bite-sized pieces. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a small bowl, mix peanut butter with honey/maple syrup if using.
  3. Spread or dip frozen banana slices in peanut butter mixture.
  4. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil over a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  5. Dip or drizzle peanut butter-covered bananas in melted chocolate, then sprinkle with chopped peanuts and a pinch of sea salt.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve frozen for a refreshing snack.

Notes

  • Use fully frozen bananas for easier dipping.
  • Chocolate can be substituted with sugar-free or dark chocolate for lower calories.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
