This Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole is packed with flavor and perfect for a keto-friendly weeknight dinner. Loaded with ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and melted cheeses, it’s a cheesy comfort meal that everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 fat ratio preferred)
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 large bell peppers (green, red, or mixed), diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sautรฉ onions, bell peppers, and garlic until softened.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Lower heat and stir in softened cream cheese until melted and creamy.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Layer provolone slices on top, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can swap provolone with cheddar or Swiss cheese for a different flavor.
- Optional: add sliced mushrooms or jalapeรฑos for extra flavor.
