Ingredients

  • For the Chicken:
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts, thinly pounded
  • 4 slices ham (Black Forest or honey ham)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (or Provolone or Gruyรจre)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or butter, for frying
  • For the Creamy Mustard Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • For Seasoning:
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge chicken in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Fry chicken for 4โ€“5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Place cooked chicken on a baking sheet. Top each with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese.
  6. Broil for 2โ€“3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Meanwhile, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
  8. Serve chicken hot, drizzled with creamy mustard sauce.
