Description

Maple Donut Bars are soft, moist, and sweet, with a rich maple flavor. Easy to make in a single pan and topped with a simple maple glaze, they’re perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (plus more for glazing)
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and maple syrup. Mix well.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool slightly, then drizzle with additional maple syrup mixed with confectioners’ sugar for a glaze.
