Description
Maple Donut Bars are soft, moist, and sweet, with a rich maple flavor. Easy to make in a single pan and topped with a simple maple glaze, they’re perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (plus more for glazing)
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar (for the glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and maple syrup. Mix well.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle with additional maple syrup mixed with confectioners’ sugar for a glaze.
Notes
- Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Optional: sprinkle with chopped nuts or cinnamon for added texture.
