Mediterranean Ground Beef Pita Pockets are quick, flavorful, and perfect for a healthy lunch or dinner. Juicy seasoned beef is paired with fresh vegetables and creamy tzatziki, all stuffed into warm pita pockets.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita pockets
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautรฉ until soft and fragrant.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6โ8 minutes.
- Stir in cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1โ2 minutes to toast the spices.
- Warm pita pockets according to package instructions.
- Fill each pita with cooked beef, diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and parsley.
- Top with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.

- You can swap ground beef with ground lamb or turkey for variation.
