Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita pockets
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautรฉ until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6โ€“8 minutes.
  3. Stir in cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1โ€“2 minutes to toast the spices.
  4. Warm pita pockets according to package instructions.
  5. Fill each pita with cooked beef, diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and parsley.
  6. Top with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.
