Description
Parmesan Cloud Chicken Bombs are tender, cheesy chicken bites served with a creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect with mashed potatoes or cauliflower purรฉe for an indulgent yet elegant meal.
Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) ground chicken
- 1 egg
- ยฝ cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- ยฝ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ยฝ tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 Tbsp butter (for sauce)
- 2 Tbsp flour (for sauce)
- 1ยฝ cups milk (or half-and-half for extra richness)
- ยพ cup Parmesan, grated (for sauce)
- ยฝ cup mozzarella, shredded (for sauce)
- Salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg (for sauce)
- Mashed potatoes or cauliflower purรฉe (for serving)
- Fresh thyme or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into small balls (about 1ยฝ inches each) and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18โ20 minutes until cooked through and lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, prepare the creamy Parmesan sauce: melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisk in flour, cook 1 minute, then slowly add milk while whisking until smooth and thickened.
- Add grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
- Serve chicken bombs over mashed potatoes or cauliflower purรฉe and drizzle with sauce.
- Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley before serving.
