Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 5/8 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups pretzels, crushed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for coating)
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Crush pretzels into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
- Set up breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs with mustards in another, and crushed pretzels in a third.
- Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge each piece in flour, then egg mixture, then pretzels, pressing gently to coat.
- Place chicken on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes, until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, make the mustard-cheddar sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth and thickened.
- Stir in cheddar cheese and Dijon mustard until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the crispy chicken topped with warm mustard-cheddar sauce and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
