Description
Puppy Chow Bars are a fun, no-bake treat with chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallows, and Rice Chex cereal โ perfect for parties, snacks, or dessert bars.
Ingredients
- 7 cups Rice Chex cereal (start with 5 cups and check consistency)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup (ยฝ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, can use salted
- 1 bag (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup (31 g) confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Add mini marshmallows to the chocolate mixture and stir until evenly coated.
- Gently fold in Rice Chex cereal until fully coated. Add more cereal if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Press mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 9×13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle confectioners’ sugar over the top while still slightly warm, if desired, and gently press it in.
- Let cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge until set. Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt or a sprinkle of cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the fridge for longer shelf life.
- Mini marshmallows can be replaced with regular marshmallows cut into small pieces.
