Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast halves
  • ยฝ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Flour, for coating
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra as needed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ยฝ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce (or to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • ยฝ cup full-fat sour cream


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat with flour.
  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Sautรฉ mushrooms and onions until tender.
  4. Add garlic, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1โ€“2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 3โ€“5 minutes. Reduce slightly.
  6. Stir in sour cream until sauce is creamy. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce.
  7. Serve hot over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
