Ingredients
- 2 chicken breast halves
- ยฝ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Flour, for coating
- 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra as needed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ยฝ medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce (or to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2/3 cup chicken broth
- ยฝ cup full-fat sour cream
Instructions
- Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat with flour.
- In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Sautรฉ mushrooms and onions until tender.
- Add garlic, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1โ2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 3โ5 minutes. Reduce slightly.
- Stir in sour cream until sauce is creamy. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce.
- Serve hot over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.

- Use Greek yogurt as a lighter substitute for sour cream.
