Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, parsley), chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, milk, and beaten egg until combined.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in shredded cheese and chopped herbs.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40โ€“45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
