Description

This Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring is a warm, festive, and incredibly easy holiday-inspired appetizer or dinner. Filled with tender turkey, sweet cranberry sauce, creamy cheese, and fragrant herbs, it’s wrapped in a golden crescent ring thatโ€™s perfect for parties, potlucks, or using leftover turkey.

Ingredients

  • Crescent Dough
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Turkey Filling
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped or shredded
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, Swiss, provolone, or cheddar)
  • ยฝ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ยผ cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • ยฝ cup chopped celery (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon onion powder
  • ยผ teaspoon salt
  • ยผ teaspoon black pepper
  • For Finishing
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the turkey, cranberry sauce, shredded cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise (if using), celery, herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Open the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles. Arrange them in a circle on the baking sheet, forming a sunburst pattern with the pointed tips facing outward and the wide ends overlapping in the center.
  4. Spoon the turkey mixture evenly around the inner ring where the dough overlaps.
  5. Fold each pointed dough tip inward over the filling and tuck it underneath the center to form a closed ring. It does not need to be perfect.
  6. Brush the top of the crescent dough with the beaten egg for a glossy golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, or until the crescent ring is deep golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes
