Description
Smash Burger Tacos combine crispy smash burger flavor with the fun, handheld style of tacos. Juicy seasoned beef is pressed directly onto a tortilla, seared to perfection, topped with melty cheese, and finished with fresh burger toppings.
Ingredients
- 4 flour tortillas (6 inches)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- Dill pickle chips
- Shredded iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.
- Divide beef into 4 equal portions.
- Press each portion evenly onto one side of each tortilla.
- Season beef side with salt and pepper.
- Place tortilla beef-side down into hot skillet and press firmly to smash thin.
- Cook 2โ3 minutes until browned and crispy.
- Flip tortilla so tortilla side is down.
- Top beef with cheese slice and cook 1โ2 minutes until melted and tortilla is golden.
- Remove from skillet and top with onion, pickles, and lettuce.
- Fold and serve immediately.

- Use a sturdy spatula to press firmly for best smash texture.
