Description

Soft Baked Maple Donut Bars are a delightful breakfast or snack treat. Tender, moist, and infused with the rich flavor of maple syrup, these bars offer all the cozy taste of donuts without the frying.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, maple syrup, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow bars to cool before cutting into squares. Optional: drizzle with additional maple glaze or sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
