Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, maple syrup, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow bars to cool before cutting into squares. Optional: drizzle with additional maple glaze or sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- For extra maple flavor, add 1 teaspoon of maple extract.
- Bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
