Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- ยฝ yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cook until onions are translucent.
- Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5โ7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese until smooth.
- Combine cooked noodles with beef-tomato mixture, then fold in sour cream mixture.
- Transfer everything to the prepared baking dish, top with grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.

- For extra flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before baking.
- Add chopped bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture for more veggies.
