Description

Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake is a fun, flavor-packed twist on traditional sushi. Layers of sushi rice, spicy salmon, and creamy sauce are baked to perfection and garnished with nori and green onions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked sushi rice
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into small strips
  • Optional: tobiko for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Mix in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then spread evenly in the prepared dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine diced salmon, mayonnaise, Sriracha, sesame oil, and chopped green onions.
  4. Spread the salmon mixture evenly over the rice layer.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and slightly golden on top.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with nori strips, extra green onions, and tobiko if desired. Serve warm.

Notes
