Ingredients
- ยฝ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ยฝ cup granulated sugar
- ยฝ cup light brown sugar, packed
- ยฝ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ยพ cups all-purpose flour
- ยฝ teaspoon baking soda
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- 1 ยฝ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Greek yogurt and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10โ12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add ยฝ teaspoon cinnamon or a handful of chopped nuts.
- Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy.
