Description

These Crockpot French Onion Meatballs are a comforting, cheesy, and flavorful dish. Juicy meatballs are simmered in a rich French onion broth and topped with melted mozzarella for the ultimate slow-cooker comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into meatballs.
  2. Place meatballs into the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and French onion soup mix, then pour over the meatballs.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until meatballs are fully cooked and tender.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top 10–15 minutes before serving and let it melt. Serve warm.
