This Dump-and-Bake Chicken Parmesan Casserole is a quick, cheesy, and hearty dinner that combines pasta, chicken, marinara sauce, and melted cheese all in one dish.
Ingredients
- 1ยฝ cups uncooked rotini pasta
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1ยผ cups water or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
- ยฝ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ยผ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ยฝ cup turkey ham or turkey pepperoni (optional)
- ยฝ cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine uncooked pasta, cooked chicken, marinara sauce, water or broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter.
- Bake uncovered for 35โ40 minutes until pasta is tender and top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use any type of cooked chicken you have on hand, including rotisserie chicken.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or use pepperoni.
- Leftovers reheat well for lunches or next-day dinners.
